The department handles all money management of the third-largest source of revenue for the State. The department reconciles deposits from all Secretary of State facilities and other certified institutions.

It processes refunds, audits Illinois-based interstate trucking companies registered under the International Registration Plan, and conducts field audits of all certified institutions and agents that handle Secretary of State business.
